Shanghai Pujiang Cable Co., Ltd. (hereinafter called as SPCC) was founded in 1988, becoming the first Chinese manufacturer of factory made cable structure products. With the development of Chinese bridge construction, SPCC has become a world famous cable manufacturer and supplier. SPCC has ended the dependence on imports for cable supply of Chinese bridges. SPCC is a representative of advanced cable technology which integrates the advantages of design, research, manufacturing and construction. SPCC has successfully completed or secured contracts for hundreds of projects including famous bridges. These bridges include the Shanghai Nanpu Bridge, Yangpu Bridge, Nanjing No.3 Yangtze River Bridge, Shanghai East Sea Bridge, Zhejiang Xihoumen Bridge and American San Francisco Oakland Bay Bridge.

SPCC now has the world’s most advanced technical equipment and testing equipment, and it can fully meet the different needs of cable users. With a factory length of 1000m, it has two suspension cable production lines and two stay cable production lines. SPCC can supply PPWS strand for 3000m main span suspension bridges and PWS stay cable for 1500m main span cable stayed bridges. This makes SPCC rank first in the cable manufacturing industry worldwide.

SPCC is the first company who granted the standard quality management system certificate GB/T19001-2000idt ISO9001:2000 in the Chinese cable industry. SPCC was awarded the national (key) high technique enterprise from 1996, and has won the title of “2008 Shanghai Intellectual Property Right Professional Pilot Model Enterprise”. The products of PWS stay cable, sockets, and PPWS (prefabricated parallel wire strand) were awarded the Torch Prize & Technology Progress Prize by the Shanghai municipal government as well as national government many times.

Stay Cable products have passed the critical tests in top international laboratories. Until the end of 2008, more than 35 prizes have been granted to SPCC including the highest national honor “Zhantianyou Award”、”Luban Award”, and other state level prizes.
